Cindy Barrow, LCSW
Cindy’s belief is that a relationship must be developed for change to occur. Cindy will strive to understand and empathize with your concerns so that she can make suggestions for improvements for your particular situation.
Cindy has 30+ years of clinical experience. She combines different therapeutic approaches to fit your individual situations. She is a strength-based therapist who will help you to resolve your problems expanding on your own individual strengths. She will help you to understand your emotions and will support and validate your perspective, while looking for cognitive behavioral solutions to achieve the results you want.
She graduated from Michigan State University in 1988 with a BA in Psychology and obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois in Social Work with a concentration in mental health and family therapy in 1991.
Cindy has practiced in a variety of treatment settings from inpatient hospitalization, to day treatment, and outpatient therapy. She has also practiced in area of domestic violence and has conducted research in this area as well. Cindy has taught Psychology and Social Work at the Community College and University levels. She enjoys teaching and conducting seminars.
Cindy has been married for 25 years. She and her psychiatrist husband, Greg, have one son, age 23, who is just beginning his career in finance. Cindy and Greg moved to Colorado during the COVID-19 pandemic. She became experienced in teletherapy during that timeframe.
Cindy has the ability and experience to help individuals through various life challenges. She provides individual, couples, and family counseling to adolescents and adults. Cindy specializes in anxiety, depression, women’s issues, adolescent struggles and couples therapy. She offers compassionate and comprehensive support to individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a wide range of needs.
